yesterday, half my friends were out for OAP, so I ate lunch wit Hannah and Chris, who is my best friends boyfriend. We were walking back up to the school, and because they are losers we were walking towards the band hall. Chris, then Hannah, then me. so were walking, and out of the corner of my eye I see chris pulling on Hannah, so I turned to look at them. then some invisible force compelled me to look forward and some kind of ball comes crashing down on my face.
What Chris had been trying to do was pull Hannah out of his way, so that he could rescue me from the enevitable, but Hannah is a bit bigger than him, so this Damsel in Distress was hit full on by a run away football, while chris spun around Hannah.
Imediately my face started tingling, and I couldn't feel my mouth or my nose. I reached up to make sure my nose was attached, and I told them I thought it was broken. Chris was like "no honey, okay it will be all right, just dont turn red". I looked at my arm and it had little blood spatter on it, so they told me to find the nurse. The nurse at Decatur is soooo wonderful. every time I go to see her, get to sit in her empty office until an aide can find her. luckily this time a bunch of Army guys were coming down the hall at the same time, so the teachers were all nearby and one found her in record time. she cleaned me up and told me to run before the tardy bell rang.
I was thinking throughout the whole ordeal that the only thing that could have been worse was for some great guy to have seen me and taken me to the nurse. although that would have been very romantic, him having came to rescue me and all, I later saw that I had bled on my new sweatshirt, and had one of the awesome guys I have a crush on helped me then I would have bled on him too, which would have not only ruined my chances with him, but also would have been very gross.
